Fed: Crean aims at domestic issues in 2003

CANBERRA, Jan 15 AAP - Opposition Leader Simon Crean tonight said he aimed to put leadershiprumblings behind him by concentrating on important domestic issues in 2003.

Mr Crean ended last year under a leadership cloud which reached a peak when CarmenLawrence quit the frontbench, accusing him and his leadership team of being too timid.

After returning to work this week, Mr Crean said tonight he aimed to use the coming12 months to take on the government over the issues it did not want to focus on.
