Fed: Skilled vacancies 23.5 pct lower than 12 months ago

CANBERRA, April 26 AAP - There were further signs of the softening job market today,
with the government's Skilled Vacancies Index slipping 1.5 per cent in April to 108.0.

Skilled vacancies were now 23.5 per cent lower than they were a year ago, the Department
of Employment, Workplace Relations and Small Business said.

Falls were recorded in all three occupational groupings.
