Qld: Toowoomba man charged over torture

Queensland police say a Toowoomba woman was held against her will and tortured by a
man for 12 hours over the weekend.

A police spokeswoman says it will be alleged the 29-year-old man assaulted and tortured
the woman at a home in suburban Park Street over a 12-hour period on the weekend.

The woman escaped to find help and alerted police.

Police say she didn't require hospital treatment.

The man will appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court today charged with torture and deprivation
of liberty.
